Hagerstown, Md. – Coming into night four of Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek as the point leader, Alan Krimes from Denver, Pa. made the best of his night at Hagerstown Speedway as he picked up his first ever Hagerstown win plus became the fourth different winner in the series. It also was his first win of the 2010 season in more than 25 races.

“I’m really starting to like this place,” Krimes said. “I wish we could race here more often. It definitely was the key starting up front like that. You can’t beat this place. It’s the best track we’ve raced on. It was a little dry tonight but that’s the way I like it.”

Krimes pulled the pole position and took off on the start to dominate the first half of the 30 lap event with Greg Hodnett only close enough to challenge once on lap 20 when Krimes changed lines and pulled away. He took the checkered with three lapped cars and 1.16 seconds ahead of Hodnett.

“When I heard Greg on the outside of me, I thought there must be something up there to run outside, so I moved up to take his line away,” Krimes said. “Once I got to lapped cars I moved back down to the bottom. Luckily everything worked out.”

When the green flag waved, Krimes was like a rocket ship as he blasted out of the starting gate and was 2.5 seconds ahead of Daryn Pittman by the second lap with Hodnett running third.

• Alan’s average finishing position in time trial events, for 2010 is between 8^th and 9^th place (8.66 to be exact).  He has qualified in the top-3 5 times in 10 time trial events this season, including 2 quick times so far at Lincoln – one against the Allstars and the other during the Keystone Cup.  He has only timed outside of the top ten once at any track, this season. 
• Krimes has 2 DNQ’s this season: 1 at Lincoln in which he broke a u-joint in hotlaps where he was unable to put the car back on the track for qualifying heats, the other DNQ was a blown motor that he suffered on lap 9, while leading the B-main against the World of Outlaws.
• He has finished in the top ten in 9 of 10 races at Lincoln so far this year.  Even with the DNQ on 04/17 he is only 50 point behind the leader in 410 point championship standings (as of 06/10).
• Krimes has finished 4^th 5 times this season at Lincoln Speedway.  He is 7-for-9 in top-5’s at Lincoln so far this season.
